Assistant, Development (FX)

The FX Original Programming department is seeking an Assistant to provide administrative support to two SVPs of Development. This position is also responsible for evaluating material, tracking submissions, and coordinating and disseminating information and materials pertaining to development projects.

Responsibilities:
• Answer phones, manage calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls, make travel arrangements, handle expense reports, and various other administrative tasks.
• Evaluate and track submissions, read drafts of projects in development, manage delivery of incoming scripts and cuts, and track shooting schedules.
• Manage various tracking grids and collaborate with other assistants.
• Manage communication between the Production and Development departments, studios, and production.
• Coordinate and distribute materials.
• Communicate with other departments regarding their needs and ensure they have the materials that they need to take care of their responsibility to FX

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of entertainment experience at a talent agency, studio, network, or production is required.
• Avid TV watcher with a strong interest in series development, who wants to grow with the FX suite of networks.
• Must be a highly organized, task-oriented person, able to manage and disseminate a high volume of information and material punctually, properly, and confidentially in a fast-paced, busy office environment.
• Must be able to evaluate material and think analytically in relation to projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Must have strong skills utilizing Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of entertainment experience at a talent agency, studio, network, or production company.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $57,900 to $77,500 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
