Job Description
Netflix is seeking a VFX Coordinator to support the Overall Deals Production Team in Scripted Series.

This role requires significant experience in Visual Effects for Television and/or Film.

The VFX Coordinator will report to the VFX Director, acting both independently and providing support in a variety of situations to the wider Overall Deals VFX team. This position will encompass a combination of administrative and title specific responsibilities.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, and flexible. They should be able to pivot when necessary to juggle multiple, diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast-paced position that requires someone who is thorough, diligent, and an effective communicator. A positive and collaborative thinker who exercises good judgment and initiative will thrive on this team.

Responsibilities:
• Works in tandem with VFX Executives to onboard and support a slate of Original Series, from development through delivery.
• Acts as a bridge between productions and various internal departments to ensure both sides receive pertinent information in a timely manner.
• Has enough knowledge of the VFX pipeline to clearly record meeting and VFX review notes.
• Assists in tracking and managing team schedules as needed, and coordinating for larger department events.
• Creates, updates, tracks and proactively maintains inward and outward-facing production resources and documents.
• Frequently collaborates with and supports efforts to create better alignment between verticals.
• Maintains internal databases for production schedules, crew, and contacts.
• Supports VFX reviews with creative teams as necessary.
• Explores evolving technologies and determines how to incorporate them into production workflows.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of VFX experience within a high volume studio, vendor, or client-side on productions.
• The ideal candidate will have held a significant position at a Coordinator level or above and worked across multiple series or features.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, overseeing several projects at various points of production, from development through delivery.
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mentality and a strong problem solver.
• Familiarity with production and post software such as Flow (aka Shotgrid) or Filemaker, Cinesync, PIX, & Google Suite. Other platforms such as Airtable, ClickUp, and SyncSketch are a plus.
• Knowledge of digital audio and video file formats and a technical understanding of the VFX process.
• Experience breaking down scripts for VFX and/or reviewing vendor bids is a plus.
• Working knowledge of outside VFX and Virtual Production facilities and freelance talent.
• A passion for data and efficiency through using technology to solve problems is a big plus.

To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.
