Broadcast & AV Systems Seasonal Assistant

The Broadcast Engineering Seasonal Assistant will be responsible for assisting the broadcast engineering staff at Comerica Park with daily troubleshooting and maintenance duties of audio/video production equipment, as well as the set-up and proper operation of equipment for special meetings and events throughout the ballpark.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist broadcast engineering staff with identifying and repairing equipment issues with arena video/audio production equipment.
• Assist broadcast engineering staff in maintaining proper equipment logs and software updates.
• Set up cameras, monitors, speakers, lights, microphones, and other audio/video production equipment as needed for press conferences, meetings, and other special events.
• Operate camera equipment for live events.
• Log video clips from Detroit Tigers games and other live sporting events.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 3 years of study toward a bachelor's program in a related field.
• 2 years of established work experience.
• Developed understanding of audio/video production equipment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; a desire to work with people.
• Committed to going ''above and beyond'' to serve the client and event guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects/priorities.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by 3 professional sports teams.

Working Conditions:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
