Localization Team Leader - Creative

Do you love movies and story-telling, have a passion for digging into the details of a narrative, and have a background or interest in dubbing, subtitling, localization or languages? This may be the job for you!

This position will provide input into the most important aspects of creative intent, legal use, and language specific treatment to assist in the execution of projects for all types of filmed content: theatrical, broadcast, and leading streaming services. Ultimately, as a Team Lead, you will ensure that Deluxe delivers a consistent dubbed product that exceeds our clients' expectations.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will provide Creative guidance and oversight over the end-to-end localisation process through the completion of templated documents and active engagement with internal and external groups. The ideal candidate must be ready to:
• Maintain treatment and consistency across all assigned titles
• Blend independent work and collaboration with diverse teams
• Balance workflows and client guidelines to meet project deadlines
• Understand the entire localisation workflow, including dubbing, subtitling and audio

The position will develop into managing a team as the business grows, and you will also:
• Initiate and supervise the end-to-end training of a Creative Editor
• Act as a subject matter expert to Creative and other Deluxe teams
• Complete or assist with training and process documentation
• Work closely with direct reports to help them achieve their development goals
• Balance managerial duties and Creative work

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will learn Deluxe's Creative localisation workflow and then be responsible for:
• Managing a small creative team
• Training editors, vendors, or other departments on Creative tasks and processes
• Ensuring:
• The discernment of localisation treatment through the review of dialogue lists, source scripts, and other client documents that provide key information regarding localisation treatment, casting, character description, plot, and legal rights information
• The creation and updating of Creative dubbing guidelines
• The international casting selection and approval process
• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise specific to client requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve localisation strategies
• Own project schedules and ensure due dates are met on time
• Proactively identify potential issues with projects in progress and find creative solutions to meet or exceed client expectations

• Flexibility to work extended hours to meet project deadlines
