Ingest Operator

The Ingest Operator is responsible for ingest, logging and tagging of video assets within Deluxe's One platform. This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen interest in film and television and an understanding video formats.

Primary Responsibilities
• Ingest digital assets into our proprietary tool
• Compress and quality assure audio and video program material for theatrical, broadcast and platform releases
• Review for quality all digital video and audio files
• Evaluate quality and check for errors in digital video and audio assets
• Identify and describe the severity of any issues in video and audio assets
• Ensure work assignments, their status and disposition are timely and accurately recorded in operations systems.
• Engage in on-going training programs as necessary.
• Must effectively analyze and communicate information in order to resolve issues and concerns as they arise.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What you bring
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a post-production environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of major media software and hardware including Adobe CC
• A basic understanding of film/video concepts, such as resolution, frame rate, NTSC, PAL, HDTV, SD, HD, 5.1 audio
• Awareness of digital video/audio encoding systems, must have fundamental understanding of digital audio and digital video
• Strong computer skills are required (Windows/Mac, Excel, Word, web browser, FTP)
• Position is audibly and visually demanding as a significant amount of the job responsibilities include intensive testing for minor audio and video defects and artifacts
• Must be able to follow instructions, juggle multiple priorities, and solve problems involving several concrete variables in busy production environment
• Ability to apply collaborative, creative, technical, and quality control skills to provide effective services in a client driven, deadline-oriented environment
• Highly detail-oriented, maintains low error-rate, while also being productive and efficient
• Willingness to adjust working hours/shifts or workdays to accommodate client needs including nights and weekends when needed
• Outstanding Communication skills – written and oral
• Basic understanding of data management and workflows
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy
• Ability to remain calm under tight deadlines
