Job Description
Overview & Responsibilities:
Duties include daily studio setup and maintenance (including studio lighting, wireless microphones, and stage), robotic camera or studio jib operations for CBS News Bay Area newscasts, special programming and live remote specials. Ideal candidate would work as the communication link between the production control room and the on-set talent during production and also act as a studio / field jib operator when required. The position works closely with show directors and news talent, as well as the Operations and Engineering Departments to enhance production possibilities of various news and programming subjects.
Basic Qualifications:
• Television experience and/or college background in television preferred.T
• The ability to perform in stressful situations typical of live television production required.
• Knowledge of iNews NRCS, Cambotics studio robotic camera systems, studio jib, Calrec audio systems and various studio lighting instruments.
• Strong communications skills and a desire to learn are mandatory.
• This role has flex hours including early mornings and weekends.
• Candidate is required to join IBEW Union if not currently a member.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods of time and operate a keyboard.
