Online Software Engineer Co-op/Internship (FC) - Summer 2025

We're looking for an Online Software Engineer Co-op to join our paid world-class internship experience. The start date for this position is May 2025 (8-month term), you may be eligible for course credit depending on your institution. Our Online Software Engineer Co-op will report to the Software Engineer. We are considering onsite and hybrid work options.

Responsibilities:
• You will report to Producers, Development Directors and Technical Leads to lead the development of bug fixes, game changes, services and new features into our games.

Qualifications:
• You must be available for a full-time paid internship from May - December 2025.
• You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• You have a working knowledge in at least one of Java, C++, Python or Go.
• You have experience in object-oriented design and implementation.
• Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:
• Server side development e.g. REST services.
• Web UI e.g. JavaScript & CSS.
• Unit testing frameworks e.g. google test.
• Container systems e.g. Docker or Kubernetes.
• Databases e.g. SQL or MongoDB.
• CI/CD systems e.g. Jenkins.

We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program throughout this Co-op, slated to graduate no earlier than May 2026. You must be legally authorised to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 8 month Co-op. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

HOURLY PAY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
• $31 - $34

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
