Product Design Intern
We are seeking a curious and driven Product Design Intern to join our design team working on the EA app, a PC and Mac platform for users to find, purchase, and play their favorite EA games. As an intern, you will collaborate with experienced designers, engineers, and product managers to contribute to the creation of engaging and user-friendly experiences. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product design within the gaming industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in solving user and business problems.
• Clearly articulate design concepts and ideas to team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, researchers, and product managers, to translate requirements into clear design solutions.
• Create documentation, wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Learn new things and grow.
Qualifications:
• Curiosity and a willingness to ask questions and seek feedback to enhance learning and growth.
• Clear communication skills and ability to articulate opinions with thoughtful rationale.
• Portfolio showcasing design skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort using design software such as Figma or the Adobe Suite.
• Reasonable understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and user research.
• Interest in gaming and the gaming industry is a plus.
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $60,000 - $65,000 CAN Salary
The pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
