Executive Engagement Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)

Role

The Executive Engagement Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) has the overall responsibility for supporting the EVP & Chief Diversity Officer, NBCUniversal in managing the organization's daily operations. This manager level position will collaborate with the Chief Diversity Officer and DE&I team to help determine and prioritize business strategies. This role will report into the EVP & Chief Diversity Officer and operate as a trusted partner to the DE&I team and embedded Diversity leadership across NBCUniversal.

Responsibilities
• Support Chief Diversity Officer in managing high volume of internal and external inquiries including, but not limited to, evaluating requests for meetings and speaking engagements, candidate referrals, requests for information on initiatives and programs, etc. Reply to inquiries in a timely fashion, involve internal colleagues, as appropriate, and follow-up accordingly.
• Review, evaluate and respond to feedback/suggestions submitted by employees to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion organization (DE&I).
• Help prepare Chief Diversity Officer for upcoming meetings by reviewing attendee lists, ensuring clear agendas are set, materials are available and reviewed ahead of time, etc.
• Draft company-wide email messages, speeches and help create presentations for various internal and external speaking engagements and events.
• Schedule and prepare logistics for various internal and external town hall meetings. Help prepare materials, coordinate with IT personnel, arrange physical or virtual space conducive to the event needs, partner with Executive Assistant to ensure Chief Diversity Officer's calendar is booked and appropriate travel time, where necessary, is factored in.
• Maintain a calendar of events, be proactive in identifying upcoming celebratory months or days (e.g. Black History Month, Juneteenth, etc.), help the DE&I team plan recognition of these months/days, as appropriate, coordinating with business embedded DE&I teams.
• Support the Chief Diversity Officer and the DE&I team in implementing concrete action plans and creating specific ways to hold the organization accountable to ensure meaningful, long-term plans are achieved.

• 3+ years of experience supporting Executive level leadership in a multifaceted way
• Experience in communications drafting, speech writing, and presentation development
• Experience in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion space
