JOB DESCRIPTIONFox News Edge serves more than 180 local newsrooms across the country, providing national and international content to local news stations. We seek a dynamic Freelance Producer. Our team members are not only in command of their stories editorially, but provide hundreds of newsrooms video, sound and graphics information that's vital to their newscasts.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch, write and produce stories then format and upload your scripts and audio/video elements to a cloud-based distribution system
• Oversee production of news content
• Copy edit scripts and screen video content prior to distribution
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A bachelor's degree and previous experience in a local or network newsroom.
• Strong editorial judgment as well as the ability to synthesize complicated concepts and present them clearly and concisely through writing and selection of audio and video elements.
• Previous experience with iNews and digital media programs strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to work shifts as News requires
• Passion for current events
