Overview

The Broadcast Operations Coordinator is an integral part of the organization and coordination of live and live-to-tape productions across multiple titles. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the development of internal systems and processes of the Broadcast team and assisting with the day-to-day technical coordination and planning of productions. To support the Engineering team with asset inventory management & maintenance, sanitation protocol/procedures, and equipment logistics. This role is challenging, technically critical, and constantly evolving. The Broadcast Operations Coordinator will work directly with the corresponding Coordinating Producers, Production Coordinators, Technical Production Managers & Senior Technical Production Manager to deliver world-class productions.

This is a 12-month contract position with the potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead organizational and execution efforts to support production demands streamlining process and procedures
• Assist with project plans and schedule commitments to ensure plans are integrated and aligned to overall production schedule
• Help resolve all facility, equipment, network and broadcast scheduling issues with parties involved
• Provide feedback during debrief meetings and help complete post-show documentation
• Assist with Studio set builds, changeovers, and repairs
• • Work with Director of Broadcast, Production Coordinators, and Sr. Technical Production Manager to schedule and manage execution
• Network Coordination - ISP accounts; installs, transfers, and cancellations
• • Work with Network & Transmission Engineers to deploy and manage remote network locations; talent, guests, players, and crew
• Equipment Storage Solution; design, implement, & maintain equipment storage solution
• • Process in-bound and out-bound equipment & sanitize
• Operate, track, and report equipment in online management system, including repairs, maintenance and shipments
• Assist the Senior Technical Production Manager with facility expansion projects; attend weekly meetings and provide feedback
• Establish and maintain good working relationship with clients and/or vendors and help them to navigate EA procedures
• Offer innovative, creative ideas that add value to the engineering team and assigned projects
• Other duties and tasks assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• 2 + years of experience in live broadcast environment, with Master Control and Transmission experience preferred
• BA/BS degree; concentration in Communications, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Proven leader with the ability to delegate and lead teams effectively
• Willing and able to travel periodically, flexibly, and internationally
• Willing to work weekends and holidays
• Airline travel required; possess or be willing to acquire a U.S. passport
• Participate in requested background checks when assigned to shows that require it

Physical Job Requirements
• Must be able to work shifts that typically last 12 - 15 hours but could extend up to 20 hours
• Must be able to walk or stand up to 8 hours at a time
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel on both knees, and climb stairs frequently
• Ability to lift up to 50 - 75 lbs. frequently
• Ability to carry 50 lbs. a distance of 50 feet occasionally
• Ability to pinch (10 lbs.) and grip (50 lbs.) related broadcast equipment
• Must be able to maintain a position within a space 3.5 - 4 feet tall up to 1 minute occasionally
• Ability to horizontally transfer 50 lbs. on a push-pull cart up to 50 feet
• Ability to vertically transfer 50 lbs. on a push-pull system with upper extremities only
• Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
