Due to significant growth within the department, we are looking to add new members to our busy English team.

Position

The English Editor - Scripts will be required to create, reformat, and edit a variety of post-production scripts such as dialogue lists and as-broadcast scripts. They will also assist with English subtitle quality control as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing tight deadlines, scheduling, and integrating technology effectively
• Communicating with ZOO project managers about assignment progress
• Very detail oriented and can shift priorities as required daily to accommodate the changing needs of our clients
• Create and perform quality control on post-production scripts including as-broadcast scripts, dialogue lists, and insert lists, as well as subtitles, including closed captions and SDH

Requirements

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
• Background in journalism, copywriting, English, or related field. Knowledge and experience in screenwriting a plus.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills are required.

Computer Skills
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with using search engines to research people, places, and unfamiliar terms
• Comfortable in adapting to new software
