Job Summary/Description:

We are looking for a strong leader with a positive mindset who can help lead our local sales efforts. The Local/Digital Sales Manager will help lead the station's efforts in the development of new and incremental business; reduce churn; work side by side with the sales management team while coaching, training, mentoring, and leading a top-notch group of local Media Consultants. This is not a desk job – our next SM will hit the streets daily alongside our MCs to coach, develop, and lead the sales staff to generate broadcast & digital revenue. The manager will work in concert with our GSM, SM, & NSM to provide a unified approach to client solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• ️ Manage and lead the team by participating in client meetings, building relationships with top clients, and being active in the community.
• ️ Responsible for achieving the station's revenue goals.
• ️ Drive profitable growth through management & oversight of ad inventory across local core products and audience extension networks.
• ️ Ensure the team understands and utilizes Digital & Broadcast tools & resources to ensure effective Marketing campaigns.
• ️ Work alongside current leadership in cultivating & promoting a positive, successful culture.
• ️ Manage, coach, train, support, and motivate the team of local MCs and support staff.
• ️ Ability to forecast revenue, and develop and sustain a business plan to exceed sales revenue objectives.
• ️ Remain current on industry trends in the digital space, e.g., mobile, display, CTV, SEM, email marketing, and social.
• ️ Develop and deliver best practices for digital/broadcast knowledge among the sales staff and clients.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• ️ Must have proven successful experience in sales.
• ️ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet committed to a positive team environment.
• ️ Strong organizational, prioritizing & leadership skills within a fast-paced environment.
• ️ Able to manage the decision-making process quickly, accurately, and calmly, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
• ️ Oversee revenue forecasting and pricing models to drive growth.
• ️ Promote a positive, result-oriented culture that is passionate about the business, career, and helping clients be successful.
• ️ Highly organized with a creative mindset
• ️ Ability to multi-task multiple projects
• ️ Ability to convert challenges into opportunities.
• ️ 2 years or more experience in sales; media advertising preferred.
• ️ Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• ️ Strong leadership skills that include the ability to train, coach, and motivate individuals and teams.
