Production Assistant

Job Description

WLWT, the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati has an opening for a Broadcast Production Assistant. We are looking for a team player who understands the flexible schedule that the broadcast industry requires to join our production crew. You will be responsible for operating teleprompter and video equipment related to live broadcasts and post-production. You will work with our production team and assist the news department to guarantee a successful broadcast is produced. You will report to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities
• Operate teleprompters and studio floor directing
• Move and handle props and sets during productions
• Construction, maintenance, installation and operation of props, prompters, sets and other production equipment
• Maintain appearance of studios including cleaning of set and floors
• Lighting and script preparation for newscasts
• Assist the directors

Requirements
• Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software
• Videography experience helpful
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production
• Related military experience will be considered
