WFTS, The E.W. Scripps ABC affiliate in Tampa, Florida is looking for a Manager of Enterprise Content to plan and execute investigative news content across all platforms and provide support in oversight of the newsroom with other department leaders. The Mgr. of Enterprise Content will contribute to local content vision and strategy to address consumer needs, content standards, delivery, quality control and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Collaborate with other newsroom managers to execute Scripps enterprise content strategy and market -specific content strategy.
• Oversee a team of people to produce targeted enterprise and investigative stories of impact and importance to the local community.
• Partner with colleagues to plan daily and future stories for publication on all platforms.
• Contribute to creating strategies, tactics and measurements to ensure the quality and quantity of the stories that investigative journalists produce meet Scripps' standards and drive audiences to multiple platforms.
• Work closely with Scripps legal counsel to ensure stories, teases, social posts and all other related elements are vetted for accuracy and are compliant with legal requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in -related discipline preferred
• Prior supervisory experience a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Journalism: Skilled storyteller, journalistic ethics and libel
• Working knowledge of television ratings
• Advanced oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of all media platforms and broad understanding of broadcast newsroom operations and equipment
• Calm under pressure: Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Customer focus: Understanding of customer needs, raises the bar on customer service, develops unified approach to exceed customer expectations
• Very strong collaborator: Involves others in problem solving and decision making, asks for and considers an array of perspectives, comfortable relying on the expertise of others and joint decision making
• Manage execution: Ability to set expectations, delegate, facilitate, remove barriers, measure performance, and foster accountability/recognition
• Engage and inspire at all levels: Create environment where people feel appreciated, and valued, are committed and want to excel, and want to define opportunities to improve the organization
• Manage conflict: Constructive in working through differences, can handle recurrent conflict, resolve issues between employees, preserve relationships
• Decision making: Ability to tie decision to strategy, use sound logic, make decisions at the right time, bring others into decision making process, choose the best alternative
• Coach: Continuously cultivate capabilities by asking the right questions and equipping staff with tools, knowledge and opportunities they need to develop themselves
• Delegation: Ability to clearly define lines of responsibility, allow staff to make mistakes, offer guidance without taking over, enable team to manage daily operation of their teams.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.
