Job Summary/Description:

WCAX-TV has an immediate opening for a newscast and digital content producer to join our market-leading morning team. We are looking for a person who can produce daily on-air and streaming newscasts and lead our Digital First strategy by engaging viewers with creative web and social media content.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Developing and organizing daily newscasts for TV and Livestream
• Writing and editing news scripts for TV & digital platforms
• Editing video for TV & digital platforms
• Giving direction to reporters and photographers on deadline
• Creating graphics for new stories
• Coordinating live shots
• Communicating with anchors and production staff during live broadcasts
• Using social media outlets to engage viewers

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
• Excellent news judgment
• Strong broadcast writing and visual storytelling skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Previous newsroom experience preferred
• Familiarity with ENPS, Edius, and web posting preferred
