The Job
WBG is looking for a Live Producer to lead all aspects of live service for a newly released free-to-play, cross-platform game.
As a Live Producer, you are responsible for the operational quality of our live game. You will work closely with the game development team and other stakeholders to develop and publish a steady stream of engaging content and features that our players will love! You are a passionate problem solver with the ability to effectively manage strategy while also diving into the details, as necessary.
The Daily
• Work with the Senior Producer to develop a live service plan and execution strategy that align with our larger free to play goals.
• Use data insight to create live service goals focused on improving the player experience and overall game health.
• Oversee live services, understanding the ''what'' and ''why and how to measure success.
• Effectively communicate with key stakeholders and players.
• Partner with other Producers, Product Manager, and the Development Team to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables, managing prioritization and distribution of tasks, bugs, and interdepartmental needs.
• Work with stakeholders to Identify, track, and actively mitigate issues in the live environment that could put project goals or player engagement at risk.
• Identify and remove roadblocks that prevent the team from performing effectively.
The Essentials
• Bachelor's Degree in Game Production, Product Management, or equivalent practical experience.
• Shipped at least one F2P console or PC game with live service.
• 5+ years working on mobile or console games with live service.
• Must be collaborative and an effective negotiator, while being a resourceful and creative problem solver.
• High technical understanding of games and technology.
• Must have working knowledge of multiple development practices (Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.), and high comfort level with project management software (JIRA, Hansoft, Trello, etc.).
• Interested in being in the trenches, involved with day-to-day decisions and providing support.
