Job Title: Sr. Manager, Publicity

A little bit about our team:

Warner Music Nashville's Publicity team is responsible for all music news and articles and for contact with the trades and other media for label press coverage. Creates the strategy for a unified publicity plan and presence in the marketplace for each artist. Overseas corporate communication for all Warner Music Nashville business news, charitable partnerships, staff updates, etc.

Your role:

The Sr. Manager, Publicity is responsible for directing and overseeing the publicity department in conjunction with A&R, Artist Development, Radio & Streaming and Digital teams in order to create a unified publicity plan and presence in the marketplace on all releases. This will include but is not limited to TV, Print, Online and Tour press.

Here you'll get to:
• Creates and executes press plans for a roster of WMN artists that grows with the position
• Develops and maintains positive and engaging relationships with print, broadcast and online media covering country, crossover, mainstream and trade press, while also identifying and connecting with new partners that are valuable to WMN
• Solicits online, print and TV media opportunities for WMN artists
• Accompanies artists to press events that may include but are not limited to TV tapings, interviews, industry trade visits and award shows
• Compile pre-event, during-event and post-event coverage
• Works in tandem with the WMN Digital Team to drive communication with digital press outlets and build/maintain relationships with social teams at editorial publications by pitching unique social angles/artist takeovers
• Researches trends in the mainstream press and tailors them to fit country artists/projects
• Oversees and assesses publicity budgets for each assigned project
• Creates and services press releases in conjunction with releases and related artist/company news
• Brainstorms innovative publicity efforts and promotion ideas with various shared services/marketing departments
• Maintain organization of artist files
• Manage additions and adjustments to contact database / media lists
• Assist with the creation, upkeep and distribution of press materials
• Lead the collection of press clips on company and full roster of artists
• Handles and safeguards confidential and proprietary information

About you:
• High school level education, or its equivalent, and a bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent
• 5-7 years of professional experience in publicity or media relations or a satisfactory equivalent
• Must have general computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Posses a strong work ethic
• Strong organization skills and pay high attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments
• Produce quality work and be accountable
• Ability to work well in team
• Demonstrate ability to be innovative and suggest change/improvements within scope of work
• Anticipates needs and creates efficient and effective processes
• Self-starter, self motivated and takes responsibility/ownership of tasks
• Thinks outside the box proactively, strategically and analytically
• Consistently takes initiative; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing situations

Salary Range

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
