Job Title: Sr. Director, Streaming Strategy – Hip-Hop / R&B

A little bit about our team:

The Warner Records Commercial Revenue team is responsible for all aspects of streaming, digital & physical sales, marketing and promotion at all commercial accounts. The department is responsible is for achieving the company's revenue goals as well as helping to break new artists via commercial account channels.

Your role:

The Director, Streaming Strategy – Hip-Hop / R&B position is at the forefront of the exciting streaming revolution. The high visibility position has multiple touchpoints across Warner Records and the music industry. You would join a cutting-edge team of passionate music fans who are committed to sharing our artists art with as many fans as possible around the world. Here you'll get to:
• Be responsible for working with DSP/Streaming partners for placement and maximization of Warner Records releases to appropriate playlists within the DSP platforms (i.e., Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, etc.) You will maximize all hip-hop and R&B related revenue and marketing opportunities within assigned streaming accounts
• Effectively communicate insights, analysis, opportunities, and recommendations with partners to improve our business; this communication will occur both internally, to our artists/management partners and to DSP partners.
• Develop strong relationships across our streaming partners; working with our DSP partners to drive message and release strategy utilizing marketing, cultural capital and data to drive consumption of our repertoire
• You will work with artist, management, label marketing, A&R and WMX to determine configurations and timing for album & single release strategy on streaming platforms
• You will work with label marketing, WMX and commercial streaming accounts to formulate and execute meaningful marketing initiatives
• You will coordinate with the Fan Engagement department to ensure artist streaming profiles are optimized and best practices are being regularly used
• You will regularly convey new release schedule and marketing tent-poles to accounts and WMX
• You will develop meaningful business partnerships with key third party streaming accounts
• You will work with WR and WMX Research and Analysis teams to utilize multiple analytic tools in order to optimize WR business and revenue goals
• You will keep current with consumer demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors in the streaming space and be prepared to assume additional streaming accounts as the market continues to grow and transition towards streaming
• You will create presentations and represent the company at various conferences and business meetings (internal and external) to promote the label's artists and upcoming releases

About you:
• You have 3+ years' experience working in a label sales/commercial team, digital partner, or a related digital content industry
• You have proven music streaming experience and quantifiable results
• You have established relationships in the music streaming community
• You have strong leadership skills and the ability to work with others to develop and execute strategic projects
• You have strong organizational and project management skills
• You have in-depth familiarity with social media networks and music streaming services
• You have excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
• You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with both creative and business-oriented colleagues and partners

Job Posting Range

Job Posting Ranges are included for NYC based and 100% remote roles where talent can be located in NYC. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
