Job Title: Consultant – Assistant, Press & Media Strategy
A little bit about our team:
The Publicity Department at Atlantic Music Group works in a very fast paced environment to maximize media coverage for our artists and, in turn, raise the overall profile of the artists on Atlantic and its affiliates. This is accomplished not only by utilizing established avenues, but, perhaps more importantly, through discovering and developing new outlets to increase our artists' visibility to the consumer. In addition, the department is responsible for maintaining up to date photos and bios on all active artists, the drafting and issuing official media releases to the media and the company, the planning and execution of special events, the planning and execution of artist press days and TV appearances, interaction with and planning for certain industry awards and award shows, and much more.
Your role:
This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about all aspects of PR, offering hands on experience working with publicists, while working hand in hand with other departments, media and artists. Candidate must be passionate about music and Publicity/Communications.
Here you'll get to:
• You will be responsible for administrative duties, such as answering phones, booking travel, maintaining press clips and reports, process invoices and expense reports.
• You will help coordinate the scheduling of artist interviews, press days and TV appearances.
• You will help draft and edit press releases.
• You will assist at various media + label events, and artist shows.
• Maintain up-to-date digital press kits + quote sheets for each artist
• Responsible for updating Atlantic press site with the latest materials on an ongoing basis
• Oversee and maintain departmental organization (magazines, newspapers, press contacts, media lists, etc.)
• Compile and write artist itineraries
• Maintain organization during high-pressure situations and projects
• Hire hair, makeup, stylists (glam) and occasionally photographers for artist shoots and press days
• Compile end of project press books for artists, managers, executives
• Research contacts and construct media lists in addition to updating department shared publicity contacts
• You will have the opportunity to pitch online/tour press coverage when appropriate.

• You must have the ability to interact professionally with senior executives and media personnel.
• You must have proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
We'd love it if you also had:
• Bachelor of Arts Degree
• Previous label and/or Public Relations experience

This position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.
Salary Range
$17.95 to $19.50 Hourly
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
