A little bit about our team:
The US Shared Services Reporting Department is responsible for managing all of the reporting obligations of WMG's US record labels (including those operated by 10K Projects, Atlantic Records, Rhino Entertainment, Warner Records, and Warner Music Nashville) to recording artists, producers, writers and publishers, labor unions, and other external payees. The Department's services include the following:
• Calculating and paying royalties to recording artists, producers, and other third parties;
• Calculating the net profits earned by joint ventures between WMG's record labels and external parties and then paying those external parties their contractual shares of such profits; and
• Calculating and paying monies due to labor unions pursuant to the terms of the collective bargaining agreements between such unions and the applicable WMG record labels that are signatories to those agreements.
Members of the Department work closely with colleagues in the Business Affairs, Finance, Production, Operations, New Media, and Marketing departments of each label client to fulfill the above-referenced responsibilities for the recordings and records those labels release.
Your role:
You will be a member of the Reporting Administration team responsible for reading new agreements and entering terms into the royalty system. • Analyze complex recording and label agreements, identifying and entering key terms into the EROS royalty system;
• Liaise with Business Affairs executives at each of WMG's US record labels to discuss various issues, including questions about contract interpretation as it relates to royalty reporting;
• Create SAP royalty accounts requested by our label partners and members of Royalty Operations; and
• Review release schedules to support the Reporting Department's project tracking process.
About you:
• You possess excellent reading comprehension, analytical, organizational, and mathematical skills.
• You have strong computer abilities, including stellar data entry skills (with an emphasis on accuracy) and proficiency using MS Excel and Word.
• You thrive managing multiple assignments and prioritizing them effectively and appropriately.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
• You have earned a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
We'd love it if you also had:
• Expertise interpreting contracts, particularly Music Industry experience with artist recording agreements;
