The Job

Warner Media/Warner Bros. is seeking an experienced Production HR People Partner to be the main point of contact for all Human Resources and Employee Relations matters for Shoe Bucket. Shoe Bucket, the UK arm of Warner Bros. TV, makes high end drama TV series across several locations in and around London in the UK.

The Daily
• Develops and maintains a solid understanding of our business and operation to provide commercially focused guidance to the Shoe Bucket US senior management team.
• Plays an instrumental role in embedding new processes, ways of working and building up the HR function in collaboration with the existing HR team.
• Provides guidance and advice to production executives in handling day-to-day production concerns. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local employment legislation and industry best practice. Prepares the business for and leads employee consultations meetings.
• Is available to production cast and crew to voice any concerns and keeps their ear to the ground to identify potential or existing issues regarding performance, capability, persistent or long-term absence, grievances, misconduct, working arrangements, maternity and any other leave. Responds to crew enquiries regarding policy interpretation and serves as a liaison between production, production executives and corporate teams.
• Determines how to handle and escalate employee relation matters, working closely with the management team and employment legal to determine next step actions, including the transfer of cases to Employee Relations for handling as necessary.
• Support the development of a diverse workforce and the company's diversity aspirations both on and off screen through the provision of suitable training and initiatives including advising on questions rehiring practices.
• Oversees compliance of HMRC's Appendix 1 and IR35 tax legislation.

The Essentials
• Experience of partnering with senior management teams in a generalist HR role at a HR Manager level with a heavy emphasis on employee relations (or related experience).
• Experience of applying expert employment legislation and best practice HR within the television or film sector.
• Proven track record of advising and tailoring HR solutions within a freelance environment
• Media entertainment experience or previous entertainment/studio experience strongly preferred
• Alternative Dispute Resolution knowledge and experience helpful
• Educated to degree level with full CIPD postgraduate education
• Able to demonstrate operative knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures
• Proven track record of advising and tailoring HR solutions within a freelance environment
