Programming Coordinator

Overview:

This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking to take their first steps in programme planning within a large multinational broadcasting and digital streaming company. The Programme Planning Coordinator is a key part of the EMEA Discovery Networks team helping to manage the creation and delivery of monthly programming grids for Warner Bros. Discovery's EMEA Factual Pay-TV channels.

Responsibilities:
• Inputting schedules into the IBMS scheduling system as directed by Programme Planners & Planning Managers (full training provided)
• Production and distribution of monthly channel reports including premiere lists and schedule grids
• Executing schedule changes quickly and accurately as instructed by Programme Planners & Planning Managers
• Responsible for long and short-term programme planning of assigned channels
• Maintenance of internal tracking documents
• Requesting rights for content and ad-hoc administrative tasks
• Key point of contact for assigned channels
• Screening content for suitability and contributing towards channel editorial strategy

Qualifications:
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Confident, articulate, organised and a motivated self-starter with a passion for television
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Data analysis skills
• Proficient computer skills – Word, Excel, Google Workspace.
• Experience using IBMS and TechEdge software would be beneficial.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines
• Ability to be responsive and reactive when required
• Able to handle multiple tasks at once
• Creative, collaborative approach to their work and the ability to remain calm under pressure
