CBS Mornings is seeking a smart, creative, and enterprising Associate Producer with proven writing experience and strong research abilities! This person will have a firm command of journalistic standards, a keen attention to detail, and excellent newsgathering skills. They must also be calm and efficient during breaking news and a collaborative member of the newsroom.

This role is responsible primarily for producing day-of-air packages. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-profile guests and reporters. They must also have a strong mastery of conceptualizing visual graphics and creative scripting for television.

The AP will be responsible for pitching and editorial planning for interviews and tape packages on a broad range of topics. They may be called upon to travel for breaking news, field produce, write scripts and work with editors in assembling packages.

Skills/experience:
• 3+ years TV news experience
• Strong editorial judgement and excellent script writing skills
• Mastery of visual graphics and elements
• Ability to prepare copy and packages for air
• Experience working with editors in assembling packages
• Understanding of newsgathering and transmission technology
• Exercise editorial judgment and pitch late breaking developments
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure
• Must be willing and able to work a Sunday through Thursday schedule
