Job Description
UTA is seeking a Vice President, Global Tax to lead a department responsible for all federal, state, local and international tax compliance and tax planning to provide strategic direction and tactical support on tax matters for leading, planning, implementing, managing, and controlling tax-related activities for UTA and other subsidiaries in domestic and international. The VP, Global Tax will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and oversee all tax matters across corporate and the businesses globally.

What You Will Do:
• You are responsible for leading the tax planning, tax accounting, tax compliance, and tax audit functions for the Company and its domestic and international subsidiaries
• Proactively assess the projected impact of legislative and regulatory developments affecting federal, state, local and international tax compliance and tax planning
• Proactively work with businesses to structure their operations to promote tax efficiency and mitigate tax risk
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of all corporate income tax returns and tax aspects of the Company's external financial reporting
• Manage and successfully resolve audits of the Company by the taxing authorities, including federal, state and local corporate income tax audits, sales and use tax audits and employment tax audits
• Structure and negotiate the tax aspects of acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures
• Assist in managing foreign tax matters, including corporate income tax, tax treaties, permanent establishments, foreign withholding taxes and value added taxes
• Develop and deliver presentations to senior management regarding tax results and risks/opportunities affecting the business

What You Will Bring:
• JD or CPA required; LLM or Masters in Taxation a plus
• 15+ years of tax experience with emphasis in US and non-US tax (preferably in private industry and Big Four accounting firm)
• 10+ years experience as a leader
• Knowledge of media and entertainment highly desirable
• International tax expertise
• Strong background in all aspects of federal, state, local and international taxation
• Extensive experience leading M&A transactions, including structuring of transactions, due diligence, drafting transaction documents and post-acquisition integration
• Proven ability to lead tax support of corporate initiatives from inception, planning and approval through execution
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Legal, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, other business operations
• Strong executive presence and communication skills
• Strong leadership ability, sound judgment, equitable decision-making, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the department.
