Job Description
UTA seeks a Senior Vice President, Finance who will report directly to the CFO. This role will play a critical strategic role in the continued growth of UTA, including initiatives to build a scalable, global financial infrastructure and all financing activities, whether raising funds through equity or debt. As SVP, Finance you'll be responsible for managing several teams within UTA's Finance and Accounting department: Financing, Planning, and Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, and Revenue Analytics. Success in this role requires being comfortable zooming into granular details to gain deeper insights and then zooming out to accurately summarize key performance drivers to UTA's Board of Directors, banks, lenders, and rating agencies. You will work closely with the CFO, CAO, Managing Directors, and department heads throughout the company to enhance UTA's financial performance and facilitate data-driven decision making in a fast-paced environment focused on driving future growth through organic initiatives and M&A.
The salary range for this role is $400,000 to $500,00 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the FP&A team, including all financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc strategic financial analysis. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports to UTA's Board of Directors and department heads, with a focus on providing insights to improve UTA's financial performance and decision making.
• Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including UTA's private equity investors, banks, lenders, and rating agencies. Represent the company in financial matters and ensure effective communication regarding financial performance and strategy.
• Cash Management: Oversee the Treasury team, which is charged with all activities around cash management, including banking strategy, near-term cash flow forecasting, foreign exchange and interest rate hedging, and internal controls to manage interest expense, banking fees, and risk.
• Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Provide financial guidance and support during M&A transactions, with a specific focus on recommending and implementing a financing plan and pro forma capital structure, overseeing the preparation of pro forma financials to assess the transaction's impact on financial KPIs, and playing a key role in the post-merger integration of the target's finance function.
• Team Leadership and Development: Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional growth opportunities. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the finance department.
• Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals. Play an active role in the development of a scalable financial infrastructure with a focus on optimizing people, processes, and systems to support UTA's future growth and margin expansion.
What You Will Need
• Bachelor's degree with an MBA strongly preferred.
• Must have 15+ years in finance with investment banking, private equity, entertainment, and media experience preferred.
• Proven history of financial leadership and strategic decision-making in a senior management role.
• Strong financial planning, analysis, and forecasting skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complicated financial topics in a clear, concise manner.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
• Sound business acumen and the ability to balance financial objectives with broader business strategies.
• Experience in a similar role during a private equity investment diligence process and during a post-merger integration process preferred.
