Job Description

We are hiring for a DevOps Manager with Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning experience to lead our DevOps team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing our DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning strategy, as well as managing the daily operations of the team. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, communication, technical, security, database management, observability, infrastructure automation, database versioning, and cloud skills.

The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $190,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

What You Will Do
• Design and implement the company's DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning strategy, including infrastructure automation using Terraform, Chef, or Puppet, continuous integration and delivery, monitoring and alerting, cloud architecture design, deployment, and optimization, observability tools such as Datadog, database versioning tools such as Liquibase or Flyway, CI/CD tools such as Github Actions and ArgoCD, and cloud technologies such as Netlify, Azure, AWS Kubernetes, Containers, HELM, and AKS.
• Manage the daily operations of the DevOps team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring team members have the necessary resources and support.
• Experience with Feature Flag management tools such as LaunchDarkly.
• Work closely with the development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning processes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning workflow, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage the deployment of code, infrastructure, and security changes across various environments, including development, testing, staging, and production.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning processes, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning initiatives that align with business goals and objectives.
• Use observability tools such as Datadog to monitor and analyze the performance and availability of systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in the production environment.
• Be hands-on and work with the team to implement solutions to improve system performance, availability, and reliability.

What You Need
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with release management, including managing deployment pipelines and release orchestration.
• Understanding of NoSQL and SQL databases such as Mongo and Postgres.
• Understanding of code scanning tools such as Checkmarx and how they integrate with deployment pipeline.
• Understanding of MERN application development.
• Proven experience in managing and leading DevOps teams with Cloud, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, and Database Versioning experience.
• Strong technical skills in infrastructure automation, continuous integration and delivery, cloud technologies such as Netlify, Azure, Kubernetes, Containers, HELM, AKS, and security tools such as Checkmarx.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog and other relevant DevOps tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, security, database management, observability, infrastructure automation, database versioning, and cloud skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
• Previous Application Development is a plus
• Understanding of Data Pipelines is a plus.
