Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

UTA seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Technology Operations team. As a key member of the IT department, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging modern cloud technologies and has a strong background in systems administration.

What You Will Do
• Design, install, configure, and maintain internal and customer-facing environments using cutting-edge cloud-based technologies.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of network devices and firewalls.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for environments and procedures.
• Proactively manage and maintain IT infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade monitoring, configuration management, and reporting platforms.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Provide occasional after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies and weekend maintenance actions.
• Maintain asset inventory and configuration documentation.
• Assist in hardware and software vendor/platform evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.

What You Will Need
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in managing Office 365, Exchange Online, and other cloud services.
• Expertise in Identity Management, with preference given to Azure Entra ID.
• Proficiency in advanced network configuration and troubleshooting, with focus on Meraki and cloud networks.
• Advanced experience with cloud-based SaaS integrations.
• In-depth knowledge of a variety of Azure and AWS cloud PaaS and SaaS solutions.
• Scripting skills for automation (Powershell, Python, Javascript).
• Familiarity with command-line interfaces such as Windows/Azure Powershell, CMD, Linux Shell, Azure Shell.
• Advanced knowledge of both Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems, as well as desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10 & MacOS).
• Experience with virtualization technologies like HyperV and VMware.
• Expertise in MS Exchange Online and enterprise email configuration.
• Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in a complex enterprise environment.
• Sound judgment in decision-making and interpersonal dealings.
• Openness to direction and developmental guidance from supervisors.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels.
• Willingness to work overtime/extended hours as required.
