Job Description
UTA seeks a dynamic and proactive Communications Associate to provide support within the Communications department. The Communications Associate plays a pivotal role within the team, dedicated to upholding and enhancing the reputation of the agency across its numerous practice areas. This position involves shaping the agency's narrative, crafting strategic communication plans, spearheading announcements, pitching ideas, providing executive briefings, strategizing on awards season attendance, securing high-level speaking opportunities and more. Located in our Los Angeles office, this role reports directly to the SVP, Corporate Communications.

We seek a candidate deeply attuned to cultural currents, possessing a background in entertainment or media sectors, with firsthand experience collaborating with press contacts, media outlets and other internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate demonstrates creativity, innovation, and the ability to navigate an evolving media landscape.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

What You Will Do
• Draft communications plans, press releases, pitches, agent and executive biographies, messaging documents, and other agency-related documents
• Secure impactful press placements that align with UTA's narrative
• Participate in planning sessions with the team and present thoughtful, innovative pitch ideas for UTA's multiple practice areas including Film, Television, Music and more.
• Assist in organizing and executing agency presence at various awards shows and tentpole entertainment industry events
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Manage relationships with high-profile clients, managers, publicists, studios, etc.
• Other special projects as assigned

What You Will Need
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 2+ years of communications or public relations experience in a corporate or agency setting with a focus on entertainment
• Strong business knowledge in media and entertainment business
• Innovative problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized, able to work with overlapping deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Network of entertainment press contacts
• Unique perspective and positive attitude
