The Role and What You'll Do:

The business development manager is responsible for supporting the UFC's commercial activities in the Canadian marketplace. This job includes the planning and delivering of marketing campaigns, contributions to media sales activities, financial and market analysis, executing fight week activations and assisting with the day-to-day management of Pay Per View partners and TV broadcasters. This position will require someone who is able to be both analytical and creative, who can meaningfully contribute to a team environment, has reporting and presentation building expertise, and who demonstrates the ability to establish long-lasting professional relationships.
• Serves as a key point of contact for marketing fulfillment partners, cable/satellite affiliate partners, TV broadcasters and key bar and restaurant clients.
• Source, assemble, catalogue and traffic promotional materials between Zuffa and its broadcast/affiliate partners.
• Develop and deliver presentation materials and sales decks, financial summaries, and internal communication documents
• Work on all aspects of event marketing; set and adhere to budgets, cater unique ads specific to each community, work with ad agencies, media, creative, marketing, finance and venues
• Support the development of nation-wide digital and TV ad campaigns for PPV and brand promotion, while managing budget, creative assets and production elements. Harness research and insights to integrate strategically throughout campaign efforts
• Assist with partnership outreach and support existing sponsors
• Seek new and innovative opportunities to promote UFC content in broadcast, residential, and commercial PPV ecosystems .
• Develops compelling and unique campaigns/promotion/marketing initiatives for brand awareness under strict budgetary constraints.
• Analyze consumer data for markets and provide key insights usable for sales and marketing.
• Collaboratively work with internal and external departments including production, marketing, trafficking, scheduling, sponsorship, research, content, broadcast and VOD as well as commercial approval and placement in English and French.
• During Canadian ''Fight Weeks'' - supports event preparations and other activations
• Other duties as assigned.

You Have These:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in business development and/or marketing
• Experience managing agencies and business partners
• Experience in marketing a unique product that requires educating the customer.
• General knowledge of principles of effective communications and mass media, publicity, advertising, policies, community relations, and organization structure as they relate to entertainment and sports events.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Ability to plan, organize, and effectively present ideas and concepts to groups, including members of the executive team.
• Ability to cultivate and establish effective relationships with all levels of clients from corporate level to individual bar owner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain discretion and protect confidential information.
• Thorough understanding of marketing and business development principles, and the ability to think ''outside of the box''.
• Desire and ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Professional, responsible, self-starting, ''get-it-done'' attitude and work ethic.
