Job Description
As a Product Director (Marketing) at Ubi MTL, you will define the game's positioning and articulate it for the communications & marketing plan and communication strategy.

What you'll do

Carry out strategic analyses and influence game content
• Determine benchmarks, key success factors and market threats;
• Define, qualify and quantify the project's target audience;
• Ensure that the game content and overall brand vision are coherent;
• Determine strong trends in the entertainment industry;
• Provide ideas and consumer feedback on the game's themes, universe, characters, artistic direction, etc.;
• Provide direction on the legal aspects, product placement, added production values (voice, music, etc.) and age-rating criteria;

Define the marketing position and artistic direction
• Draft the positioning based on strategic analyses and the creative vision set out for the game;
• Organize marketing research efforts to confirm or adapt the positioning;
• Involve US and EMEA marketing teams whenever required;
• In collaboration with marketing artists, create the artistic direction for marketing;

Define the communication strategy
• Ensure that the positioning is accurately articulated in the marketing assets;
• With the support of the Product Manager, oversee the development of certain key marketing deliverables;
• Recommend a presence that is adapted to international events;
• Work in collaboration with operational marketing to ensure that the group's work is in line with the strategy that was set out;
Oversee the internal and external presentations for the game
• Ensure the quality of internal presentations (framework, first prez to biz);
• Identify and coach the best spokespeople for presentations;

Actively support the brand director
• Contribute to the development of the brand's DNA and blueprint by taking part in activities including:
• Market analyses;
• Competition monitoring (determine and assess differences);
• Competition and game forum monitoring;
• Strategic monitoring of the entertainment industry;
• Articulate the positioning into a communication strategy, communication themes, artistic direction for marketing, deliverables plans and initial deliverables production;

Manage the team
• Oversee the marketing budget for the project;
• Supervise and coach product managers:
• Briefs and assets creation;
• Events organization;
• Relationships with operational marketing and PR teams;
• Communication of benchmarks and best practices;
• Involvement in the development of communication and positioning tactics;
• Approve communication themes, the deliverables plan, deliverables and expenses;
• Suggest adapted development plans for team members.

Qualifications

What you bring to the team
• 7-10 years of experience in marketing and game production in the industry or any other experience deemed relevant
• Leadership and people management skills
• Results-oriented and customer-focused
• Bilingualism (French and English)
• In-depth knowledge of the market and the video game industry
• Good collaboration skills + excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to adapt to whatever the production brings: you can change any part of your plans according to the situation
