Job Description
Ubisoft IT is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join the Game Services team. This team's main mission is to oversee the creation of our platform that hosts games for Ubisoft's internal customers. They assist games during their entire lifecycle and take care of architecture design, technology R&D, and tool recommendations.
As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the health and operations of our Linux servers, with a focus on operational activities, proactive capacity management, and event monitoring. You will also contribute to the execution of various projects and will function as second-level support for the Linux systems.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and troubleshoot services infrastructure to ensure health, maximum system availability, and service quality;
• Resolve all incidents and tasks by providing support on tools and applications used by our internal partners, as well as troubleshooting in emergency situations;
• Use your DevOps mindset to propose improvements & and features to the systems;
• Maintain updated documentation regarding installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting procedures related to the Linux platform;
• Participate in the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices, and metrics;
• Run the daily operations of systems;
• Install and maintain physical/virtual servers and related software.
Qualifications
• Experience with Linux operating systems;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as GitLab and GitLab CI and good Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible and Chef;
• Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Golang;
• Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB;
• Good knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK stack, and Grafana;
• Good knowledge of cloud service administration with OpenStack and Kubernetes.
