Founded in 2017, Ubisoft Bordeaux works with passion on the biggest AAA titles to deliver the best gaming experiences. Job Description

As a FX Artist and reporting to the Artistic Director, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing real-time VFX for gameplay.

In this context, your missions are:
• Design and prototype multiple gameplay feedback effects
• Master the VFX editor within the project and suggest ways of improving the management of gameplay VFX.
• Optimize VFX and find the best solutions for producing effects that adapt to the technical constraints of our game engine and the technologies used.
• Ensure the artistic quality of VFX in line with the direction given by the Artistic and Technical Departments.
• Possibility of working on cosmetic customization FX

Qualifications
• You have significant experience of real-time VFX production
• You are preferably familiar with Unreal Engine, its Niagara VFX system and its shader creation tool
• You have a good knowledge of 2D/3D modeling and effects tools (Photoshop, 3DS Max, Maya, After Effect, etc.)
• You are autonomous, versatile and enjoy working as part of a team.
• You are fluent in English, enabling you to work in an international environment.
• You are passionate about video games and have a good knowledge of this industry.
