Job Description
We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Director, Digital Operations Center to lead our 24/7 digital operations center. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Tennis Channel direct-to-consumer (DTC) offering on various streaming platforms. This role will maintain the overall workflow of Tennis Channel's DTC platform. A robust technical background and familiarity with a range of digital distribution technology and transmission equipment is crucial, as is the ability to provide top-tier technical support and effectively manage a team in the dynamic sports broadcasting environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of Digital Network Operators to ensure the smooth functioning of Tennis Channel's digital operations center.
• Monitor and oversee the delivery of the Tennis Channel's DTC product across various streaming platforms, including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon, Fubo, Samsung TV, and other smart TVs and devices.
• Provide first-line technical support for a variety of equipment and workflows, including haivision encoders and decoders, switches, Selenio Network Processors, Dell computers, SDI video signals, and IP video delivery systems.
• Maintain a high level of familiarity with online distribution platforms, Content Management Systems, Sports Radar, Amagi, AWS, and other relevant technologies.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the technical aspects of sports broadcasting.
Other responsibilities Include but aren't limited to:
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure smooth operations and seamless service delivery.
• Display strong leadership skills and foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and swing shifts, as necessary to ensure 24/7 operations coverage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure work environment, particularly in the context of live sports broadcasting.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, but not required
• 5 years of experience supervising and managing digital operations departments in the broadcast industry
• Strong technical knowledge of a variety of digital equipment and platforms, including encoders and decoders, network processors, and video delivery systems
• Understanding of broadcast industry transmission standards, codecs, policies, and procedures
• Familiarity with digital video processing, IP delivery, and other transmission methods
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems, online distribution platforms, and cloud-based services is highly desirable

The base salary compensation range for this role is $126,000 to $144,200. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
