Sr. Manager, Information Security

This position reports to the Vice President, Information Security who is responsible for the Security Architecture & Engineering function working in close partnership with other members of the Information Security and technology groups across all SPE entities. This position will be a part of the team responsible for establishing a unified enterprise security architecture, key security controls and models, while being subject matter experts for various security areas to ensure our security practices and controls constantly improve. The best candidate will have a good balance of business and technical knowledge and will be comfortable across many disciplines of Information Security and Information Technology and demonstrate a strong passion for both.

This candidate should be an innovative and strategic thinker with an open and collaborative style that fosters teamwork, sustains a learning environment for staff, and works within the Company culture to provide solutions that meet the Company's joint business and security objectives, including efforts to continue the safe adoption of modern Cloud technologies through the employee's strong practical AWS and/or GCP expertise.

Core Responsibilities
• Engineer solutions which provide for the protection of information assets and work towards the design of solutions which coordinate interactions and processes between the systems which provide that protection. This may include but it is not limited to assessment of solutions available in the marketplace, integration design, and preparing the company for operationalization of security technologies
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the deployment blueprints for all security technology to be implemented within the SPE environment, as well support the creation of architectural documents required to support budgetary approval processes. This will include the creation of technology architecture diagrams, information flows and processes, as well as requirements for security monitoring, PKI dependencies, and access control.
• Work with the existing Information Security and Information Technology groups to understand the systems and applications, integration points and data flows.
• Responsible for architecture and engineering functions as they relate to security for Unix-based platforms, including common Linux distributions and container platforms.
• Solutions Engineering: The employee will work with other SPE and SONY employees to develop reasonable and innovative solutions to problems presented by both businesses and threats
• Documentation: The employee will be responsible for formal documentation and schematic work which represents the company's information security architecture.
• Requirements Gathering: The employee will work with other SPE and SONY employees to define clear requirements for engineering and architecture work, either generating them or assisting in their generation

Job Requirements
• 5+ years Information Security or 5+ years Information Technology with Information Security focus experience
• Technical skills: In-depth/hands-on familiarity with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems administration, network infrastructure, security tools and IP-based network protocols as well as familiarity with enterprise business applications and related integrations.
• Excellent verbal/interpersonal, written and presentation communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience working for a high-profile public enterprise in a security context or in direct support of a security context.
• Broad knowledge of both information technology and computer security issues, requirements, trends, and industry practices.
• Ability to pick up new skills through self-learning and on the job training.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Manage and context switch between competing priorities while maintaining organized and detailed reporting of status and progress
• Understand business requirements and apply security without adversely affecting the desired functionality
• Possess high level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and reflect appropriate level of judgment as it pertains to security
• Act as an ambassador for all things security and be proactive within security communities

Preferred Requirements
• CISSP or other industry certification, though not required
