Specialist, Leadership and Development (L&D)

Leadership and Development (L&D) Specialist

Reporting to the Director, Learning & Development (L&D) with our People & Organization team, the Specialist, L&D concentrates on supporting the L&D team in learning offering communications, program design and support, and session management. The Specialist, L&D will create learning marketing materials and provide support to the team across programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities
• Support Leadership Programs through program management and partnership in program design and facilitation where needed
• Create communications materials to advertise learning offerings, including monthly learning emails, quarterly learning catalog, leadership portal, and posts for our intranet site and other communication vehicles
• Draft professional development training calendar of offerings on a quarterly basis in alignment with the team development strategy and organizational learning needs
• Manage online learning vendor relationships (e.g., Harvard Mentor Manager, LinkedIn Learning and Rosetta Stone), including staying abreast of enhancements to offerings to maximize value, ensure we are planning ahead for contract expiration/negotiation, and getting value-add support from our vendors that helps us better drive utilization
• Help administer our Learning Management System (LMS), including creating learning sessions, inputting rosters, and ad hoc reporting where needed
• Facilitate New Hire Orientation (NHO) on a rotating basis

Qualifications
• Extremely detailed oriented and organized. Can handle large volumes of complex information.

• Comfort with technology/systems (experience using SharePoint and a Learning Management System (e.g., Cornerstone) is favorable)
• Comfort with managing data in Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables, Vlookup, among other tasks
• Comfort with ambiguity with an understanding of when to push for needed detail
• Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in priority and/or direction easily
• Self-starter, who proactively identifies gaps and structures actions to address
• Strong problem-solving skills, as well as an appetite for troubleshooting

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) skills. Must be able to do pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.
• Minimum of 2+ years of work experience at Coordinator level
