Programming & On Air Co-Ordinator German Speaking TV Stations (Fixed term contract)

Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the UK immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the UK.

The Role

Based in our London office and reporting to the Manager, Programming & Acquisition and the Writer Producer, Creative Center, this position will cover the following responsibilities:

Programming
• Working closely with the Programming Manager in producing linear and on-demand schedules (in the scheduling software Vision and Bebanjo) and marketing information each month for each service. Audit of available runs.
• Gathering, compiling, writing, and maintaining German-language metadata, producing and distributing listings information to relevant platforms
• Liaising with the Creative, Content, Traffic, and Marketing teams in London/Munich/Miami/Panama to ensure support for key programming and initiatives across the schedule
• Liaising with internal parties across different sites as a support contact for programming and acquisition information
• Creation of POs for external vendors, keep vendor information up to date in internal database, coding and approving of invoices
• Creating monthly availability reports across all platforms to support content audits
• Ad Hoc support
On Air
• Creating monthly Make-Lists in Excel for Sony AXN & Sony Channel, based on the briefs from Marketing which are based on Highlights – including: Checking start and end-date of non-exclusive window/license length
• Keeping track of ongoing promos, VOD promos and Fillers on-air updating the already existing Excel Sheet
• Media Planning Function: to independently schedule and decide on priorities for ongoing VOD Promos on-air in line with the priorities set by Marketing and talk through promos / priorities meeting with Miami team
• QC support for the new On-Air Producer as required
• Ad Hoc support

Additional
• to create POs and keep an overview over the budget
• Creation of POs for Voice Over Artists
• Creation of POs for Audio Mixing Sessions
• Creation of POs for external vendors (i.e. freelancers)
• Once PO approved, forwarding PO numbers to relevant vendors
• Keeping the budget tracker updated ideally updated every two weeks

Key Qualifications Required
• Typically 1-2 years of experience working in TV programming/scheduling/distribution (research within a TV channels environment or adjacent industries(desirable)
• Good understanding of the TV and entertainment business in GSA/ EMEA
• Self-directed, adaptable approach, ability to multi-task under pressure and work towards clearly defined goals
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in an international environment
• Highly developed and demonstrable IT skills and knowledge
• Strong eye to detail in literacy and numeracy
• Native German language skills and fluency in English essential
• University degree educated or equivalent (desirable).
