Marketing Coordinator - SPT Canada

The Marketing & Publicity Coordinator will report to the Head of SPT/SPHE Marketing Canada. The role will focus on B2B marketing activities including pre-sales and post-sales support of television series and feature films licensed to linear television channels and streaming services in English and French Canada. In addition, the role will assist the Home Entertainment Marketing Managers with the Digital, Residential Video-on-Demand and National Retailer customer support, catalog, and new release direct-to-consumer organic and paid digital campaigns. The Coordinator will work from home until teams return to the SPT/SPHE Canada offices located in Toronto.

Core Responsibilities:

Marketing:
• Provide best-in-class marketing servicing support to the Television Distribution and Home Entertainment clients/customers in English and French Canada
• Manage daily/weekly/monthly delivery of series and features creative assets (on-air, off-air, digital toolkits, packshots etc.) and monitor the flow of promotional materials to ensure on-time and on-spec delivery
• Develop deep knowledge of the SPT & SPHE B2B digital asset sites
• Provide guidance to clients/customers and steer approvals on client SPT-series launch campaigns; manage approvals through international stakeholders such as SPE Legal, Publicity and Global Marketing
• Assist in drafting/designing PowerPoint presentations such as sales pitches, new series presentations, and post-season/sale performance reports to communicate to internal and external stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with the U.S.-based teams including Global Marketing Team and Creative Centre, Digital Marketing, Sony Corporate, and Finance and Legal to fulfill marketing, publicity and 'One Sony' initiatives
• Help develop and inspire the creation of marketing initiatives to support TV product launches and sustainability campaigns, and New Release and Catalogue Feature Film releases in the Home Entertainment window. Provide insights, conceptional development and strategic thinking to deliver on the division's goals.

TV Series Expert and Central Resource for Key Stakeholders
• Run point on assigned tv series and coordinate efforts with all key internal and external stakeholders including SPT International Marketing, Publicity, Digital Marketing, Sales and Clients/Customers
• Collaborate on strategic planning by identifying key information on assigned series / titles (goals, objectives, target audiences, marketing angles, competitive landscape, positioning, tonality and more…)
• Conduct all necessary requirements to maintain in-depth knowledge of SPT product: read scripts, extensive product viewing and monitoring of competitive series

Publicity:
• Oversee the creation, production and delivery of localized press materials (liaise with LA-based designers, sales sheets, presentation templates, press kits, premiums, etc.)
• Correspond with broadcast/streaming service clients to assist with local talent tour coordination, and daily media relations: organizing press set visits, setting up press phone interviews, general gathering and distribution of press materials (transcripts, press releases, media alerts, cast bios, etc.)
• Assist with special event coordination including Canadian upfronts, Talent Tours, and Local & International Television Trade Shows
• Manage local tv-related awards submissions and gathering of assets/metadata to fulfill nomination requests
• Maintain press clipping reports and distribute press alerts, where needed
• Update all documents required to maintain constant communication flow between Studio Headquarters and Canadian Sales division

Executive Assistance - Head of Marketing and Team:
• Handle 'ad hoc' requests in support of the local Sales team – gifting, client appreciation projects and various special requests
• Oversee SWAG/promotional item orders for all lines of business: receiving/invoicing
• Manage invoice submission, new vendor paperwork and budget tracking
• Provide general marketing department administrative assistance

Requirements:
• 2-3+ years Marketing experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• TV/Entertainment work experience is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Demonstrate excellent project management skills and possess the ability to anticipate and direct the next steps needed in variety of categories
• Passion for marketing and content (TV/Movies); Enthusiasm for the industry and the business coupled with a ''can-do'' attitude
• Knowledge of digital marketing and social media a must
• Advanced PowerPoint knowledge preferred
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills required
• Resourceful, initiative and professionalism are key
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity. Prioritization of multiple projects coupled with time management
• Strong team player
