Manager, Title Stewardship

The manager is supporting, internal and external stakeholders to help drive and enforce universal standards for overall asset flow, file ingest, organization, backup and archive of digital media.

The manager will be a key promoter and strategic change agent working across studio divisions to gather business needs, requirements and develop digital asset management strategies. Focus areas will be spec adherence, meeting with industry vendors and partnering with the Systems and Workflow Team to support application/tool utilization across the end to end supply chain.

Responsibilities include:
• Train production and vendors how to interact Sony asset landing portals
• Develop best practices for metadata capture and implementation
• Monitor digital asset traffic
• Manage team through all aspects of day-to-day operations, including hiring, training, mentoring, and providing frequent feedback
• Set priorities among competing initiatives by weighing business opportunities against company's strategic goals
• Create process documentation and provide training on standardized processes
• Train production and vendors how to interact Sony asset landing portals
• Aid in migration of existing IP from intermediate storage to long term archive
• Identify and proactively resolve system errors and metadata errors raised by internal and external users
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day asset workflow in respect to ensuring the efficient use of the studio systems
• Proactively develop process improvement solutions and make recommendations to the Systems and Workflow Team with the goal of increasing accuracy and reducing operational expenses
• Generate reports based on client and production needs

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in post production environment with an emphasis on asset management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams in a post production environment.
• Mastery in MS Office Suite (especially Excel), Visio Diagrams/Flows
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills on complex processes/issues
• Expertise in interpersonal, relationship management, meeting facilitations and negotiation skills
• High proficiency in defining, creating, and developing requirements, functional design specifications, process flows and diagraming, data models, business procedures, test scenarios/scripts, training materials
• Experience working with IT at a studio or entertainment company
• BA/BS or equivalent, MBA strongly preferred
