Sony Imageworks Vancouver is seeking Texture Artists!

Responsibilities

Cohesively work alongside other asset departments (Model, Rig, Character FX, Look Development) to create and apply photoreal and/or stylised textures. Design organic and hard surface textures in order to achieve the desired look of characters, props, and environments. Set up complex surface textures and prep surface files for lighting. Meet show deadlines, participate in Dailies, Rounds, and team reviews. Interact with Production, Supervisors, Leads, and peers in order to interpret notes and feedback on assigned tasks. Assist with efficient problem solving and sharing relevant information across the Texture Department. Work proficiently as part of a team, as well as independently, to determine various solutions to create exceptional textures for CG and/or VFX work.

Qualifications:
Able demonstrate exceptional skills/abilities in CG artwork. Knowledge of applicable software packages including Mari, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Katana, and Maya. Mudbox, ZBrush, Substance Designer, Modo experience a plus. Lookdev experience is a plus. Most desired 2 year diploma or 1 year certificate however minimal requirement of 2-3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
