Distribution Research Trainee – Spring 2024

This Spring Trainee position is from January through May (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
North American Distribution Research is a dynamic and data-driven team that supports the distribution and monetization of film and television content in the US and Canada. Distribution Research spans all platforms of television: Network, Cable, Broadcast Syndication, SVOD, AVOD, transactional and other digital platforms. This role is physically located in New York but will provide support for SPT business efforts across North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and update daily/weekly/monthly data tracking's
• Run reports using multiple data tools and applications
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Grow to deliver verbal and written insights to team and clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Interest in television content and the television industry
• Solid Excel abilities
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Comfort with data and basic mathematical functions
• A willingness to learn data tools and the process for analysis
• Strong communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Curiosity for data and analytics
• Familiarity with television data, particularly Nielsen ratings
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong time-management skills
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
