Overview

The Transactional Digital Acceleration Program has been up and running for the last 18 months internationally at Sony Pictures Entertainment. The program was created from a single global strategic decision to dramatically accelerate the growth of the digital transactional (EST/VOD) business around the world over and above standard market growth and market share targets. This is a global initiative working across regional and local teams to implement.

A central virtual team has been established to help formulate, create and drive the program but this is now such a significant task that we need a dedicated Project Director to oversee, manage and develop this initiative around the world

What you will be working on:

The Project Director role will require the successful applicant to :-
• Work across 20+ territories around the world, which will include some out of hours calls and potential travel (subject to COVID restrictions / company travel policy)
• Be a thought leader with an excellent understanding of the digital transactional business, its key levers, key clients, and how best to support local teams around the world in developing this business
• Drive the development of the program and manage weekly calls with the central virtual team
• Manage detailed quarterly update calls with each region
• Organise and run quarterly and annual Digital Acceleration Program meetings virtually and in person (subject to COVID restrictions / company travel policy)
• Help to structure and collate regular financial updates on the performance of the initiative across the participating territories
• Work closely with the reporting team to ensure we have full visibility of the whole business and title performance and impact of initiatives, whilst also identifying key insights around the business
• Prepare regular presentations and updates for senior management on performance of the international business
• Work collaboratively across all departments within the studio – legal, finance, marketing, sales, operations, business development, sales planning, regional teams, global teams
• Work with marketing on the development of a regular Digital Acceleration Program newsletter and intermediate news alerts as required
• Facilitate, train, and share best practices globally
• Help to develop and manage key central projects that will benefit all international territories

What we need from you:

Knowledge:
• Strong, direct operating knowledge of the digital transactional business
• Digital retail and operations experience
• Experience of managing cross functional / virtual teams
• Experience working across territories / regions preferable
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Management consultancy background would be beneficial

Skills / Abilities:
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills
• Ability to dig into financial reporting and performance data and extract key insights to inform business strategy
• Ability and keenness to multitask and fast switch between multiple priorities as the business requires
• Proven ability to provide strategic direction and in a dynamic, deadline driven environment, all the while communicating and providing value to the consumer
• Ability to be flexible and agile, while influencing people to build and develop internal teams & client relationships
• Detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Ability to apply financial discipline and data-driven approach in all areas of the business
• Build relationships with studio and key retail partners
• Drive engagement and inspire cross-functional teams while delivering results
• Keen sense of process and entrepreneurial approach
