Director, Finance - Commercial Support
The Director will work with the VP of Finance for Worldwide Distribution to support activity from our sales team for distribution deals with global clients and new ventures for digital distribution. This person will build relationships, drive processes, and build a foundation for financial support enabling the commercial team to focus on the business operations. This role will play a pivotal part in coordinating strategic initiatives cross functionally and across the regions to ensure all stakeholders involved are having their requirements met and fully understand all downstream implications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be the one stop Finance business partner for all financial matters relating to the Global Licensing and New Digital Distribution Operations teams
• Build trust and develop strong relationships with key Operations staff from manager level through EVP
• Represent finance in all meetings including forecasts, plans and strategic plan reviews
• Provide sound business insight and challenge based on market analysis, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected changes
• Develop reporting/dashboards to enable executive insight and updates
• Develop financial models, processes, and analyses to support planning and reporting cycles and strategic initiatives
• Act as finance liaison between commercial team and accounting/compliance to ensure common understanding and streamline solutions
• Liaise with accounting team to ensure efficiency and consistency for management reporting
• Provide monthly commentary on results
• Proactively suggest improvements in measuring effectiveness
• Identify Risks/Opportunities and provide plans/ideas to mitigate them.
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES
• BS/BA degree with accounting/finance focus required
• Ten+ years' experience
• Public and/or private accounting experience required
• TV Distribution and/or International experience a plus
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Consulting experience a plus
• SAP or Essbase knowledge preferred, strong MS Excel skills required

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with multiple levels of the organization
• Strong presentation skills a requirement
• Strong data visualization skills
• Experience in automating tasks or processes, as well as identifying and organizing data to achieve a better outcome for analyses
