Coordinator, SPT Music Development
We are looking for a Coordinator to support the head of Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Music Development, a newly launched division. The new department head is focused on increasing the number of music artist-connected television shows across SPT Globally. Working primarily to build a better, collaborative, and harmonious relationship with Sony Music and Sony Music Publishing, but also directly with music artists, their management, and the wider music ecosystem. The division facilitates relationships between these parties and Sony's production capability around the world, identifying and pre-developing potential projects and pitching them internally. The dept head will also be involved in the full lifecycle of projects from origination through development, sales, and execution, ensuring all parties are aligned throughout the process
The Coordinator will report to the department head and is responsible for a full range of administrative and project support.
Responsibilities (includes but may not be limited to):
1. Administrative
• Schedule meetings, conference rooms and manage calendars
• Onboarding – employees and consultants
• Travel arrangements
• Expense reports
• Request and manage security clearance
• Order office supplies
2. Project Support
• Manage project mailboxes
• Maintain document repositories (TEAMS/SharePoint)
• Maintain stakeholder lists
• Update project tracking tool (Smartsheets) and run reports on set cadence
• Assist with spreadsheets, presentations, other documentation, reporting and/or research
• Other administrative coordination across projects
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Prior experience as administrative assistant or coordinator in entertainment
• Interested in assisting in efficient departmental administration
• At ease in a fast-paced, high-energy, ever-changing work environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills – looking for someone with a positive, welcoming style, a ''can do'' spirit and a team player attitude
• Critical thinking, dependability, discretion, and attention to detail are required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required
• Aptitude and desire to learn new skills and technology
The anticipated base salary for this position is $44.8K to $58.8K. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
