Assistant Manager/Manager, Brand & Multichannel Marketing

The Brand & Multichannel Marketing Manager is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales marketing and publicity support for Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Distribution activity across South East Asia.

Based in Singapore, this position will report to the VP, Distribution Sales, South East Asia, and will have a functional reporting line to the Director, Brand & Multichannel Marketing, Asia.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Pre-Sales
• Provide pre-sales support to the distribution team by, but not limited to, creating, localizing, and customization of innovative sales materials which will arm the team to thrive in the competitive content market.
• Create strategic marketing and publicity plans around each of our brands (franchise films, key TV series, locally produced original and scripted productions, etc.), manage all press requests and outreach, and track coverage across each market.
• Create comprehensive Go-To-Market plans for key movie titles to support transactional sales, and TV series to support distribution sales.
• Ideate marketing & sales strategies for our library content (Catalogue Growth Initiative) to grow distribution sales.
• Work with other functions, such as Sales Planning & Operations and Research, on projects related to strategic planning on titles, windowing, promotions, market intel, social media monitoring, etc.
• Work with various teams in home office (based in LA) to get product intel for the sales team and promotional materials for clients' use.
• Plan and organize trade events, local content showcase and clients' events.
• Copywriting (social media posts and others) when required.
• Come up with an EDM strategy and facilitate our B2B outreach campaign using SalesForce, physical desk drop or other digital communicational channels, to keep clients up-to-date of our new content.
• Work with the digital team in LA to leverage their expertise, resources, and our FB & IG account for pre-and post- awareness campaign.

Post-Sales
• Provide post-sales marketing and publicity support to our clients across EST, TVOD, SVOD, and linear windows, showing our continued commitment as the best-in-class marketing team and clients' preferred partner in the market.
• Ideate with Director, Brand & Multichannel Marketing, formulate multichannel marketing strategies to ensure our content has a high ROI (buys, ratings, views, brand awareness) on clients' platforms,
• Bespoke marketing campaigns for priority clients and titles.
• Work with LA publicity team to identify and facilitate talent access opportunities for clients, manage all press requests and outreach, track coverage across each market, and manage talent tours to garner maximum exposure of talent/series in the market.
• Conduct marketing on-boarding meetings for new clients.
• Secure top placement of our content on clients' platforms, particularly TVOD and SVOD, across their business verticals.
• Plan and execute digital paid media campaign, including retargeting campaign, working off the learnings from the media buys done by the SPRI Team during the theatrical release of the movies.
• Compile post-campaign reports with performance and results analysis.
• Manage and customize promotional assets, including VAMs, to ensure all major clients in every window have something special (and exclusive if possible) to promote our content.
• Liaise and lobby home office marketing to secure and create content assets that can be leveraged for placement on/off store and promotions for downstream.
Other
• Plan and manage local marketing budget with VP Head of SEA Sales and Director, Brand & Multichannel Marketing Asia.
• Support Director, Brand & Multichannel Marketing on regional projects when required.
• The Assistant Manager will manage a junior marketing executive and provide guidance on day-to-day responsibilities and marketing initiatives.
• Manage external vendors for marketing collateral/premiums/video assets/desk drops/translation work/festival gifts etc.
• Collaborate with Sony's sister companies (SPRI, Sony Electronics, Sony Music, Sony PlayStation) for One Sony activities.
• Support local production projects in South East Asia when required.
• Ad hoc projects where required.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience
• Typically 5 - 8 years' marketing and publicity experience across traditional and digital media in Technology and/or Media companies.
• The ideal candidate should operate fluently in both B2B and consumer marketing activities.
• Must possess strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making mindset.
• A working knowledge of the new media landscape, and expert in social media marketing tools and methodologies
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be solution oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English plus another Asian language. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia or Thai a plus.
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a team-player attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• University graduate majoring in marketing a plus.
