Job Description
The Ad Sales Planner will be working closely with the Ad Sales Account Executives to prepare proposals, research, prepare media plans and presentations to support the sales process. The Ad Sales Planner will also be responsible for assisting with Yield Management Group, Traffic Operations and Marketing. This position will report directly to the Ad Sales Director.Responsibilities:
50% Support for Account Executive
• Building client proposal and pricing
• Prepares and revises sales proposals using Power Point and Excel
• Prepare research-based presentations for entire sales team to use in client and agency meetings.
• Organize research and competitive information for Account Executive
• Works with AE to develop media planning strategy for advertisers and/or prospects of SPT Network and Content
• Prepare all post-campaign analysis
• Monitor competitive landscape to keep up-to-date of current campaigns and potential opportunities.
20% Work with Yield Management & Finance departments of SPT
• Creating and updating of Agreements: create and permanently update the Agreements report detailing the commercial conditions of the agreements with the Agencies / Clients: Confidential Percentage, Confidential Method, Contract validity, etc. Send this report via email monthly to the Finance area.
• Client Registration / Pacing.
• Control of executive agreements
• Responsible of tracking the Inventory analysis by prioritizing customers in case of lack of inventory.
• Taking care of tokens
• Review of available inventory and token priority of advertisers
• Maintain the priority database of clients updated.
• Discussing pricing to meet both advertisers' goals and adherence to Networks rate card.
• Familiarity with Networks supported ad specifications and pricing guidelines
20% Promotion of Networks products and sponsorships:
• Become familiar with ad sales sponsorship opportunities as they are released.
• Develop Brand Partnership & Innovation packages creating strategy, package and pricing.
• Adjust presentations to promote Networks sponsorship opportunities locally.
• Sending packages to the Trade Marketing team for monthly Newsletters
• Control of Programming grids and new Premieres shows.
10% Support for Ad Sales Director
• Prepare the expense reports of the Ad Sales Director, as well as deal with travel arrangements (authorizations, itineraries, flight confirmation, accommodation)
• Coordination of agenda for meetings with key Distribution clients
• Maintain the priority database update of Distribution clients
• Prepare presentations working close with Distribution Marketing and Research
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• Must be outgoing, organized, solution-oriented, a team player and a strategic thinker.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines concurrently and stay flexible and professional under pressure and constantly changes of the industry and company.
• English proficient.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, screen grabs, cropping, etc.
• Ability to quickly and effectively build excel-based media plans in various formats.
• Clear understanding of time-sensitivity around due dates of proposals.
• Good understanding of technologies and technical aspects used in advertising and reporting.
• Familiarity of research tools used by media planners and buyers (IBOPE, TGI, TechEdge) is a plus.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in agency planning, with a preference for experience in planning.
Education:
• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, accounting, or another business-related field is required.
