Vice President, Game Partnerships

Job Description

As Vice President, Game Partnerships, you will play a central role in shaping and executing Sony Music's partnership strategy in the gaming space. Along with a passion for music, you will bring in-depth knowledge and a strong network of executive contacts in the game business, to serve as a subject matter expert working with senior company leaders to develop highly impactful and innovative partnership opportunities at the intersection of the two industries.

What you'll do:
• Analyze and evaluate areas of opportunity, formulate strategy, and devise business models for the gaming space that align with Sony Music's near- and long-term strategic priorities
• Build relationships, identify potential targets for business development and strategic investment initiatives, and originate deals with existing and potential game industry partners
• Collaborate closely with leaders across the company to execute on and manage game industry partnerships
• Work with Sony Music colleagues in cross-functional teams to structure and negotiate terms of licensing agreements and investment transactions
• Present to stakeholders across the company to educate and align them around strategic goals and individual initiatives

Who you are:
• Strong passion for both music and games
• Undergraduate degree (MBA a plus), and 8+ years of business development, corporate development, or strategic partnerships experience, including 3+ years closing complex deals for or with top game companies
• Exceptional business communication, presentation, and analysis skills
• Proactive self-starter, with a talent for collaborating closely across levels and functions
• Thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly-evolving business environment with very high expectations of quality
