Sledgehammer GamesSledgehammer Games, located in Foster City, CA, is currently seeking an
experienced Associate Scan Tech who aid in the scanning and production of 3d assets. If you understand the fundamentals of scanning and photogrammetry, love to be organized, and have an interest in learning and working with the art teams, then we are looking for you.
Our focus will be to create stunning, realistic scans that work as foundations for the art teams to work in fast action-60 frames per second game play and non-pre- rendered, real time cinematics - pushing the boundaries of game play, art, storytelling, and technology. Our perfect candidate is passionate about helping us create the best Characters, and props scans in support of the art teams, is highly
organized, while challenging themselves, their team, and our studio to do anything
and everything we can to make the best experience for our fans.
Your Mission:
• Create clean realistic scan data, for use in the game, towards development, and to establish benchmark quality and reference for the art team.
• Manage a number of assets and prioritize tasks.
• Categorize, catalog, and document scan assets through Jira or other tracking systems.
• Working with scans and other high-quality data to assist in making your work as realistic as possible.
• Receive feedback and modify work based on direction.
• Opportunity to learn and contribute toward research of scan assets through rental or purchases.
• Follow schedules and meet deadlines.
• working knowledge of structured light scanning and photogrammetry scanning
• learn the basics of color calibration, reference imaging, and textile creation.
• Promote a positive work environment through high personal and performance standards.
Player Profile:
• Prior Experience/Previous Positions related to current position.
• 1+ Years of directly related experience scanning or 3d software
• Solid experience, knowledge, and ability in using 3d software
• Proven ability to process 3d scan data
• Candidate should have experience using Jira, Photoshop, Excel, and 3d software
• Good eye for detail, proportions and following direction
• Candidate must be proactive and work well in a large team environment and have excellent communication skills.
• Properly estimate time to complete work, manages competing priorities and builds in buffers.
Bonus XP:
• Experience working with Photogrammetry, or game teams
• Strong, experienced, production knowledge working with scanned model data
• Performed similar role on at least 1 published game title
• Experienced in Maya, Reality Capture, Zbrush
