Job Description
We're looking for someone who is focused on managing the financial aspects of a group of television stations, including budgeting, reporting and accounting. If you are the kind of person who has strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills, then this position might be for you.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting, comfort with Excel and Microsoft tools, and the ability to wear many hats-sometimes all at once. You'll help us keep things running behind the scenes, stay on top of month-end close, and serve as a key support for our team and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the month-end close process and support basic accounting functions
• Assist leadership with routine financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure adherence to company policies, federal compliance procedures, and accounting standards
• Create and maintain Excel reports (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, etc.)
• Support operations and business managers by staying organized and responsive
• Identify process improvements and be resourceful in solving unexpected challenges
• Help enforce company rules, policies, and professional standards
• Communicate updates, even tough ones, in a clear and company-positive tone
• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor-even when ''wrenches'' get thrown into your day
• Collaborate cross-functionally with honesty, professionalism, and zero gossip
• Work independently with self-discipline while being a reliable team player
• Meet deadlines consistently and manage multiple priorities
• Flexibility to drive efficiency and process improvement
• Ad-hoc reporting for management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field(s)
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred (GAAP knowledge a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (this is a must, not a learning opportunity)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience with Broadcast or Oracle is a plus!
• Friendly, approachable personality without the need to be a ''bubbly'' extrovert
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary
• Professional, adaptable, and open to change
What You'll Get:
• A collaborative and supportive team environment
• The chance to grow with a company that values trust, transparency, and team spirit
• Real ownership of your work and space to make it better
This is a Remote position.
