Job Profile:

We are looking for a new Marketing & Publicity Assistant to support the busy and dynamic Children's Marketing & Publicity team. This role is a full-time and permanent department assistant position; an exciting entry-level opportunity.

The Role:

Reporting to the Children's Marketing & Publicity Director, the role provides key administrative support to the team and covers a range of duties including; responding to media queries, organising press mailings, assisting with author signings, collating and distributing media coverage, producing promotional material, managing the social media calendar, award submissions, processing invoices, organising meetings, arranging travel and hotel bookings and general publicity and marketing contact internally and externally. The role will also give the successful candidate the opportunity to be closely involved with publicity and marketing campaigns.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and highly-motivated, possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as the ability to interact at all levels. Highly organised, with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, the successful candidate will have a passion for books. This role is central to the smooth day-to-day running of a busy team, so a calm and 'can-do' manner is essential. A good understanding of social media, IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel are a must and a working knowledge of Photoshop would be beneficial.
